Slime Mold being processed as a stacked image. 'Stacked' is when a series of photographs taken at minutely different points of focus are stacked together to create an image with greater depth of field. Depth of field is greatly reduced in microscopic imaging, this time consuming process can enable one to capture a greater depth of field and therefore more detail.
